Visit Udine's Archaeological Museum and Ethnographic Museum with Audio Guide!
The application, created by Mobile 3D as part of the European COME-IN! project, is intended as an aid to accessible museum visits.
It is inspired by the ease of use of an audioguide, but also offers features designed specifically to support people with visual impairments.

Simple and accessible
Its minimal graphics make it easy for everyone to use and it integrates seamlessly with Voice Over (Apple) and TalkBack (Android) accessibility features. If these features are active on the user's smartphone, text content is read by a synthetic voice (text-to-speach). People with visual impairments are accustomed to this mode of interaction and prefer it to audio tracks because it allows them to adjust the reading mode, particularly the speed.

Inclusive and automatic
Audio Guide is a museum tour aid for everyone. Features dedicated to people with visual impairments are immediately available to users who have accessibility aids active on their smartphones, while they remain hidden to other visitors who can use Audio Guide as a conventional audio guide.
Audio Guide also has automatic location functionality: thanks to the two museums' infrastructure with Beacon technology, the app automatically provides content based on the visitor's location.

Multilingual and LIS (Italian Sign Language)
Inclusiveness is further enhanced by the presence of English and French translations, providing an opportunity for foreign users to visit with assistance.
Finally, the museum tour of which Audio Guide is a part is enriched with Italian Sign Language (LIS) films, tactile exhibits and reproductions, and braille or relief texts.
