The Immersive Room is an audiovisual space dedicated to viewing the museum’s content on a large scale. A system of three projectors creates a continuous panoramic projection on an L-shaped wall, enveloping visitors in an immersive visual environment.
The room is equipped with a control station that allows operators to easily and quickly manage the available content, selecting and playing videos according to the museum’s needs. This solution makes the space particularly versatile, allowing for a mix of presentations, testimonials, multimedia features, and immersive experiences all within a single environment.

Large-scale projections allow viewers to observe images, documents, photographs, and videos with a level of detail that is difficult to perceive on traditional screens. This approach encourages a more careful examination of the content and allows viewers to appreciate significant details of the history and activities of the shipyard.

The room’s panoramic layout creates a strong sense of immersion. The people and environments depicted appear life-size and unfold around the visitor, generating a sense of presence and engagement that bridges the gap between the viewer and the content. It’s not simply a matter of watching a video, but of feeling like you’re part of the space being depicted.

A place for relaxation and well-being
The Immersive Room can also be used as a space for decompression and relaxation. Special audiovisual content features looping sequences characterized by slow, repetitive movements—such as the motion of waves—accompanied by a gentle soundtrack.
This program offers a quiet place to rest during your visit, which is particularly helpful for people who are sensitive to sensory overload or for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of group activities and school field trips. The environment promotes concentration, calm, and well-being, offering a museum experience that is more inclusive and accessible to everyone.
