Project Description

RomeVIEW is among the older projects, but it is still very representative. It is an app for smartphones and tablets that accompanies visitors on numerous routes in the capital and in its Civic Museum located in Pallazo Braschi, in Piazza Navona.

In addition to the basic functionalities, such as the consultation of the cartography and the search of more than 300 points of interest, RomeVIEW enriches the external visits proposing historical photos in Augmented Reality, 3D georeferenced reconstructions and automatic recognition of works of art. In particular, 3D graphics in Augmented Reality make it possible to virtually reconstruct past monuments that are no longer or partially existing.

For example, the visitor can admire the temples of Largo Argentina, of which today only the bases are visible.
